Every euro of donor funds received in 2016 has multiplied EBRD resources for the benefit of hundreds of enterprises and millions of citizens across more than 30 countries, from central Europe to Central Asia, the Western Balkans, and the southern and eastern Mediterranean region. There, the EBRD capitalises on over 25 years’ experience of successful investment in transition countries and its extensive presence on the ground to support those economies.
Impact
In 2016, we used €409 million of donor resources across many sectors, promoting the transition to a green economy, improving public services and boosting access to finance and advice for firms. We also addressed economic inclusion and gender equality and supported policy dialogue for better governance, food security, and innovation and competitiveness.
