Green Economy Financing Facilities

The EBRD credit lines active in 24 countries prevent 6 million tonnes of CO2 emissions every year. They provide finance and technical advice through local banks to borrowers who want to make energy efficiency investments in their industries and at home. These facilities are supported by many donors including Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, European Union, Germany, Japan, Norway, Poland, Russia, Slovak Republic, Spain, Sweden, Taipei China and the United Kingdom. They are also funded by the Clean Technology Fund, the Global Environment Facility, the EBRD’s Early Transition Countries Fund, Eastern Europe Energy Efficiency and Environment Partnership Fund, European Western Balkans Joint Fund, the EBRD’s Southern and Eastern Mediterranean Multi-Donor Account, and EBRD-managed nuclear safety funds.
